WHAT 'S NEW





Neil Stipp will be participating in the 2025 National Festival of the National Association of Composers USA (NACUSA) on Friday, September 19. At the Central Commons Sanctuary in Dallas, TX, he will be premiering his Sonatina No. 7 for piano, and his Festive Opus for organ. The performance begins at 7pm. Also his String Quartet No. 3 will be part of the NACUSATHON's virtual presentations on-line on Monday Sept 22 at 3pm EST (12 noon PST). https://www.youtube.com/@NACUSAmusic1


Neil Stipp is in the 2024 May/June edition of Fanfare Magazine with an interview article entitled, "Simplifying, Snoozing, and Cycling: An Interview with Composer Neil Stipp." The interviewer is David DeBoor Canfield. Also included in the edition are five positive reviews of his "Symphony Capriccio" which is on the CD "Chisinau 1: New Music for Orchestra," put out by Phasma-Music.


On May 8, 2024, Neil Stipp returned to Pasadena Presbyterian Church, Pasadena, CA, to play his 18th Music-at-Noon. His organ concert is on YouTube. To watch the concert: click here.


In 2024, Neil contracted with Nick Peros at Phoenix Classical to have his "Symphony Capriccio" recorded on various classical music radio stations throughout the United States. To date, his symphony has been heard on at least sixteen different radio stations in the country. The work was premiered by the National Philharmonic Symphony of Moldova, conducted by Mihail Agafita on April 1, 2021. To watch the retransmission of the concert, click here. In February 2023, Universal Edition in Vienna, Austria, contracted with Neil Stipp to publish his works. This is an exciting venture, as the compositions that have not been published can now be in print worldwide. They can now be ordered from Universal Edition online.

The "Sonata for Clarinet and Organ" by Neil Stipp was a 2020 finalist for composition in the instrumental chamber music division of The American Prize, a national non-profit organization that gives competitions in the performing arts.

Neil Stipp has once again received the Ascaplus Award in 2024 for the prestige value of his catalog of composed works.


His organ work "Fantasy" was heard on the radio program "Pipedreams" the week of September 2, 2018, program #1836.. This program is heard on stations nationwide and worldwide via www.pipedreams.org. To hear the episode containing Neil's work, click here, and it starts at 59:00.

Two of Stipp's organ works were featured on the radio broadcast "Pipedreams" for the week of July 14, 2014, program #1428. He received the Platinum Award from the 2021 LIT awards for an Instrumental Ensemble (Best Composer).


"Dance Trilogy" for flute and string trio, performed by the Phasma Quartet, on 9/28/20, live-streamed on YouTube from a one-hour concert in Kwidzyn, Poland . "Classical Prelude," "Mysterious Dream," and "Chromatic Fantasy," are three works for two flutes premiered by Iwona Glinka and Renata Guzik on 12/18/17 in Patras, Greece! These three works comprise his Sonatina for Two Flutes, and are recorded on the CD "Two Minutes" produced by Phasma-Music, made in the EU, 2018.


"Brief Soliloquy," a very short work for alto sax and harp. Premiered on 12/3/17 at the Bezanson Recital Hall, Amherst, Massachusetts. Jonathan Hulting-Cohen, saxophonist, and Jennifer R. Ellis, harpist.


"Jubilant Miniature," a short piece for four flutes, was premiered on 10/15/17 at the Albert Wisner Public Library in Warwick, New York. This work was performed by the Party of Four Flute Quartet.


"What Shall I Render to the Lord?" an anthem for SATB and piano. Performed by the Concert Choir at Fresno Pacific University, conducted by Dr. Bethany Alvey. This was premiered at the Christian Fellowship of Art Music Composers convention held at Fresno Pacific University on 10/6/17.


"Sonata for Viola and Organ" at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, Pasadena, CA, on 6/21/17. Performed by the composer and Rebecca Lester, violist. THIS COMPOSITION RECEIVED A BRONZE MEDAL FROM THE SUMMER/2017 GLOBAL MUSIC AWARDS in two categories: Neo-classical/classical contemporary, and composition/composer. "What Child is This?" A Christmas anthem for SATB chorus and oboe. Premiered in the "Songs, Strings, and Steps" Christmas concerts at Central Heights Church in Abbotsford, British Columbia, in four performances on Dec 20-22, 2012. Total attendance was 3,400. Oboist was Peter Gal, and the choir was the "iSing" vocal ensemble. Received second prize from the audience vote in the choral ensemble category.
